Blue Ridge Parkway Association members and stakeholders enjoyed a warm welcome for our Annual Meeting in May by Bedford Tourism. Our gracious host for meals, accommodations and the meeting was a Parkway favorite destination in Virginia, Peaks of Otter Lodge.
We toured the Bedford Welcome Center, learning the history and future plans for the area.
Special thanks to Bedford for allowing us meeting space and gifting all attendees complimentary tickets to the National D-Day Memorial.
Attendees were greeted at the Bower Center for the Arts with hors d’oeuvres, music, wine from local Peaks of Otter Winery, and arts on display from local high school youth and artisans.
We voted in new officers and board members, and heard updates from Blue Ridge Parkway – NPS, FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge and other Parkway Partner organizations, as well as local and regional tourism authorities.
Our thanks to all in attendance, and a special thanks to Bedford Tourism and Peaks of Otter Lodge for making everyone so comfortable.
