Four times this summer, Art on the Greene brings original artwork in a variety of media to the green at the Historic Banner Elk School. Located in the center of this small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the shows create an idyllic setting for meeting artists, admiring their work and shopping for handmade pieces.
The two-day shows take place on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend May 28-29; July Fourth weekend, July 2-3; the first weekend of August, Aug. 6-7; and Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3-4.

Join us for a 2 day intensive workshop which covers Lavender 101 and Beyond. The first day will be informational, how to pick your varieties, grow, plant and harvest as well as learning how to prune and rejuvenate plants with lots of hands on work in the gardens. The second day will deal with Value added from the farm. We will cover liability issues for folks visiting your property but will concentrate on product making- hands on classes including lotion bars, bath bombs and lots more. 2 lunches, snacks and drinks are included. Registration is limited, so sign up early, we are taking reservations presently.
