Welcome to the 3rd Annual First Bank Tinsel Trail! We invite you to experience the magic of beautifully decorated trees, specially designed by local businesses and organizations. Opening night is Friday, December 2nd at 5:30 pm in historic downtown Fincastle. Step back in time and walk the Tinsel Trail to view the beauty of the trees highlighting the evening in this lovely historic setting.
What to expect on opening night:
Bring your family and friends to the lighting of the Christmas trees in front of the Courthouse at 5:30 p.m., followed by music by the Lord Botetourt High School chorus, directed by Marilyn Meade. As you walk through town don’t forget to vote for your favorite tree. Visit the Kyle House to shop our holiday vendors. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to greet the children and hear their Christmas wishes. Stop by 1772 Rooftop on Main for a cocktail and to enjoy the panoramic views of the decorated trees. Everyone is welcome to attend the holiday open house at The Botetourt County Historical Museum. View their exhibits, enjoy homemade mulled cider, hot chocolate, and light fare at their new location! Bring your family and friends to this wonderful evening of holiday celebration.
The Tinsel Trail is on display throughout December for self-guided tours. Arrangements may be made with the Chamber for private tours of the Tinsel Trail in partnership with the Museum. Please reach out to the Chamber to schedule a date.
